Pagnucci and Ondaatje have shown us how to write a piece using different elements and how important writing is. It was really interesting to see how a story can be read different ways by word placement and how it gains a reader’s attention. Pagnuccis piece, “Living the Narrative Life” was very interesting. He used different elements in this piece by clearly transition from one to another. He has a very interesting way of writing and his personality really shows through his piece.
I really enjoyed reading “Billy the Kid,” by Ondaatje because he had a great way to capture his readers. He used a poem and a picture which I thought was great. He used a lot of great imagery with really put a great picture in my mind. I felt like as if I was a part of the story.
Both writers used similar genres and were great at catching the reader’s attention. They both very different yet similar at the same time and were pieces I would recommend to others.
