This is my reflective narrative of the writing i have done throughout the semester. I have enjoyed this class greatly and i hope you enjoy reading about my experience this semester.
Over the past 15 weeks I have learned many new and exciting writing styles. Some of the writing styles I have used were: weebly, twitter, six word stories, and blogging. First, I learned how to use a site called Weebly. This site has many features and without this class I would have never known how to make a site and blog on it. The blogs that we had to write on the readings were the most difficult because I never knew where to go with them. I felt like I never really got a full grasp on what I should write.
The best part of this class was making the twitterive. I used Twitter to find my topic which I was not too successful. I kept tweeting about other things that were going on in my daily life, when in reality I did not notice the theme. It was not until I went back and looked at my Twitter that I noticed all of my tweets were about my family. This led me to my topic for my twitterive and I loved making it because it was about my family and I was able to share my stories in a very creative way. It was hard figuring out the site sometimes, but once I worked out the problems, I was able to finish it. The major problems I had with Weebly was the font would change all the time or I had trouble changing the colors. Also, I had a lot of trouble with hyper linking.
The next writing style that I learned was the six word story. I hated them because I felt constrained and I definitely need more than six words to make a story. The last project, which is the collaborative project, was difficult because I had to work along other team members pace. It is hard to change speeds when writing, but we were able to set deadlines and work together in writing. As a whole, I feel I have become a better, more aware writer and learned styles of writing that I can use in my future.
