Where do i even begin? Technology is  something that has played a role in my life honestly since the day i was born, progressing year after year. My parents and even my older brothers growing up didnt have technology as a large part of of society. I dont know where i would be today with out my computer, ipad, or iphone! I am eager to see where the world of technology takes us in the future, because without technology we wouldnt have as many things as we do today!

In this blog post i will be talking about the feedback i recieved from my classmates on presenting my twitterive. I was really eager to present my twitterieve because i had liked what i had done. I recieved some great feedback and ideas that i cant wait to change. My classmates told me to add more pictures of family events, and growing up not so many recent day pictures. I also realized i didnt have a "place." My classmates gave me some suggestions, and i am willing to play around and figure out which direction i would like to go in. I also agree with some comments on adding more personal family stories to go with pictures and events. Thanks for the feedback everyone!

This blog post is all about my classmates twitterive that presented during last week’s class.

The first twitterive we saw was Danielle McCleerys which was about her childhood home. I really enjoyed seeing her story through pictures, recipes, and letters. I love her birthday party invitation; I thought that was a great touch. I still miss my childhood home, so I know how she feels and her twitterive shows her strong connection.

Rebecca’s twitterive was all about the relationship with her mom and how there is something missing. I really liked the pictures of her mom’s eyes; it really made you feel as if you were standing there included in the conversation. I loved how she faded the text color; it was something I didn’t realize until she pointed it out. I love everything Rebecca has done and can’t wait to see the changes she makes.

Melanie Cress’s twitterive is all about being a mom to her adorable daughter Lillia. She is sooooo cute! I love the ultrasound video and the pictures. She has changed it since last class, and the changes helped a lot. It was a lot easier to read now being in chronological order.

Kristin Schoch’s twitterive is all about her connection to her car and how she feels in it. I really enjoyed Kristin’s twitterive because she was very creative with it including not just things about her car. I love how she had songs that she listens to and a coffee receipt.

Erin Suder’s twitterive is all about her break up with her boyfriend. I like how she used a picture from when they first started dating and a more recent picture, but I want to see more! I loved the letter she wrote and how she turned her story into a fairy tale. I can’t wait for Erin to revise it, and add more pictures and stories of their seven year relationship.

Krista Venafro’s twitterive was hilarious! She chose the topic of online dating, something she has been doing for about two years now. I loved the youtube video Krista found and her interpretation of the guys she dated. Krista’s was very funny, keep on going!

Lauren Wiesenecker's twitterive is all about her engagement and wedding planning. I love her page about her proposal with her videos that she made! Posting pictures of emails between her and Abel were a great touch! I cant wait to see the final product, and maybe even go to the wedding!! Ha

This blog is about my revisions after meeting with classmates and suggestions I received.

After meeting with my classmates and looking over my twitterive, I wasn’t happy with what I had. We spent some time interviewing each other and when it came to mine I wasn’t connecting like I thought I had been. After receiving some good suggestions I thought I was on the right track. After changing my twitterive around like suggested, I added some camp letters and activities I still wasn’t happy. Finally, I changed my ENTIRE twitterive. Changing my twitterive was something that was time consuming but I am very happy I did it. I changed my topic to something I felt I was able to connect better with, my family. For my repetend I used my family member’s names in bold, colored font. I really enjoy how my twitterive is looking so far
.

This blog post provides interview questions that were talked about with my classmates. These questions were there to help us make sure all parts of our twitterive were there.

1) WHO are the characters in your story?
The characters in my story are my grandparents, parents, brothers, cousin, and my aunt.
2) WHAT is your story? WHAT genres/modes are you using for your story?
My story is about my family members and how they are always there for me. They all have inspired me to be who I am today. The genres I used were pictures, poems, songs, stories and letters. My repetend the people I’m talking about that are bolded and enlarged in purple font.
3) WHEN does your story take place?
My story takes place my entire life. I am still being inspired on a daily basis from my family members.
4) WHERE is your place?
My place is anywhere I am with my family and love.
5) WHY do you feel a connection/lack of connection to place?
I feel a connection because these people are the most important people in my life and I don’t know where I would be without them today.
6) HOW do you show your audience your connection/lack of connection to place?
I am going to show my connection through a picture slideshow at the end with my family members.

My second blog this week is about my writing process so far and how my writing process and twitterive began.

To start off my writing process, I feel that during the first week of the semester I was still in the mindset that we were on winter break. I didn’t want school to start again. Many of the readings I didn’t connect to or find interesting. When I can’t concentrate on a reading or connect to it in any way I have a hard time writing about it.  I always thought I was really good with technology but when I found out we had to many ANOTHER website, I panicked. Last semester I didn’t have the best experience when trying to make a website on Google docs, but luckily weebly is A LOT easier. Coming up with a theme for my twitterive was very hard, as many thoughts and ideas ran through my head.  I wanted to write about losing my aunt two years ago, but it simply would just be too hard to do, let alone present.  When I finally decided on writing about a happy place in my life, Camp Saginaw I was relieved. Camp was always a place that I looked forward to going 10 months out of the year.

I am very much a procrastinator and have always been. Although I know this is true, I believe I work best under pressure. Working on my twitterive is hard to express myself because I am not an outgoing person who freely opens up to others. I hope my twitterive turns out to be everything I hope it to be.

My first blog is week is going to be about my twitterive, which is a narrative using twitter. I will be including my inspirations and where my idea came from and my tweets that go along with it. I will also use the specific place my twitterive is based on and my theme. I will also have a repetend to bring everything to a close.

My inspiration for my project came from my favorite time of the year, summer, and to think back about my favorite summers.  I spent five summers of my youth at a sleep away camp in Oxford, Pa called Camp Saginaw. These were the five best summers of my life. Countless memories and firsts for many things, I couldn’t think of a happier place. I started tweeting about camp when stressed with school and everything else, because what could be better than summer right now!? Some of my tweets that got me thinking about using this for my twitterive:

Is it summer yet?? #twitterive

It's always sunny with the smell of sunscreen and bug spray #twitterive

My specific place is Camp Saginaw and the idea how it makes me happy. Many of my friends to this day are ones that I met at sleep away camp. Having all of my cousins follow in my brothers and I’s footsteps of attending camp makes me happy. My youngest cousin still attends it every summer, so I am vicariously living through him. The theme of my twitterive is going to be a bunch of letters that I wrote while at camp and letters I received along with pictures. I will include microfictions describing the letters. My repetend is going to be a collage of pictures along with a song that describes my feelings toward camp.
